How a Small College Can Save You Time, Money and Stress
Today it seems more and more smaller schools are popping up all the time. Many of these schools are what I would call vocational schools. Vocational schools are colleges that teach you a specific vocation over a short period of time. You would normally be done within 12-18 months and they offer job placement assistance with their connections. If you are seeking a four year college degree then obviously this is not the way to go. However, do not just assume that your only real choices are larger state universities. There are three main benefits to s smaller school.
First, a small college can save you time. It is a fact that at a smaller school the enrollment process is much more streamlined. You are not one of thousands of new students. You, more than likely will be assigned to one person that handles everything for you. This can save you a lot of time and phone calls.
Second, it can save you money. Surprisingly, many smaller schools cost less. Many people mistakenly believe that smaller private schools are just more expensive. This is not the case in most situations. You can find smaller colleges that are accredited which are at a lower cost.
Lastly, smaller schools can save you much stress. A bigger campus can bring much more stress into your life. There are more buildings to learn, harder classrooms to find, and more people on campus. Higher crime rates happen at larger campuses. All of these reasons, point to the value and beauty of attending a smaller college.
